Wilma L. (Wray) Ford, 94, Nashville,

Wilma L. (Wray) Ford, 94, Nashville, passed away peacefully Sunday evening, Jan. 6, 2013, surrounded by her loving family at her daughter’s home in Indianapolis.

Wilma was born Feb. 10, 1918, in Jefferson County, Ill., to Clarence and Millie (Brown) Wray. She was a loving mother, homemaker and worked for 14 years as a machine operator for George J. Mayer Co. in Indianapolis. Wilma also worked as a nursing assistant at Henderson Nursing Home in Morgantown. She enjoyed spending time with her family, bowling and loved quilting and playing Scrabble.  
Wilma is survived by her children, Glenna Karen (William) Goforth of Lafayette, La., Gail Carmen (Gary) Faust of Indianapolis, and Ronnie Russell Ford and Randall Thomas Ford, both of Nashville. She will be remembered by her 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Wilma was preceded in death by a son, Gary Douglas Ford; five sisters, Eva Ziegler, Ruby Helen Wray, Beulah Jane Atchison, Ruth Jane Malone and Virginia M. Cuttil; and three brothers, Douglas, Jerry and Thomas Wray.
Wilma’s son-in-law, William Goforth, will conduct a private family service Wednesday, Jan. 9 at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown. A graveside service will take place at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mt. Olive Methodist Church Cemetery in Peoga.
Memorial contributions can be sent in honor of Wilma to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
