Ann Louise Barr, 67, Greensburg

Ann Louise Barr, 67, Greensburg, formerly of Columbus, died at 4:46 a.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2012 at Kindred Hospital South in Greenwood.

Ann was born in Columbus on Dec. 16, 1945 to the late Minor and Janet Smith Moore. She graduated from Columbus High School in 1963. Ann married Herod C. "Bud" Barr Jr. on July 24, 1965 in Belleville, at Harmony Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed helping people, especially the elderly. In her later years, Ann worked at Greentree at Westwood. Ann was a member of First United Methodist Church in Columbus.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday Jan. 2, at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Dr. Gary Schaar officiating.

Family and friends can call from 11 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Ann is survived by her husband, Herod C. "Bud" Barr Jr.; a son, John M. (Bonita) Barr of Hope; two granddaughters, Dezyrae Barr and Destiny Lonaker; a grandson, Dylan Lonaker; a brother, Mike (Barbara) Moore of Tarpon Springs, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Edith Moore of Morgantown; two nephews, Lloyd D. Moore of Austin, Texas and Chad Moore of Brooksville, Fla.; and a niece, Misann Ellmaker of Harbor Island, Fla.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Stephen Moore.
