David R. Hadley, 75, of Columbus, died at 6:01 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at Brown County Health & Living Community.
Born in Bartholomew County Sept. 27, 1937, Mr. Hadley was the son of the late Morris and Wanna Stearman Hadley. Mr. Hadley was a U.S. Army veteran and a retired farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his sons, J.D. (Gail) Hadley of Columbus and Reece (Tammy) Hadley of Mount Washington, Ky.; grandchildren, Dalton and Dylan Hadley of Columbus; stepgrandchildren, Leslie and Leighann Goodwin of Mount Washington, Ky.; brothers, Jim (Annalee) Hadley and Dewey "Bob" Hadley, both of Columbus; and sisters, Dorothy Beaver of Columbus and Barbara (Dave) Baker of Texas.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday Dec. 22, at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Jonathan Moore Pike with the Rev. Roger Walby officiating.
Family and friends can call from 4-8 p.m. Friday Dec. 21 and from 10 a.m. until service Saturday.
Burial will be at Ohio Chapel Cemetery with military rites conducted by Bartholomew County Veterans Color Guard.
