Gary Roger Napier, 77, Nashville, passed away at noon on Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012, in Bloomington Hospital following complications from cancer.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Vicki Talley Napier. He is also survived by daughters Carrie Maddock (Dave) and Jari Trumbauer (Bruce), both daughters of Sherry R. Napier; his grandchildren, Carli and Benjamin Maddock, Lauren and Kevin Trumbauer.

Gary was born in West Virginia, son of Eva Mae and Esau Wayne Napier. He was raised in Southern California where he lived until 1968, when he and his family relocated to Texas to begin his business of 44 years, Le Air Company, Inc. His company produced graphics, etchings, statuary, custom designs and metal works of art. He was an award winning artist and designer. Gary and wife Vicki recently retired and moved to Nashville to be near his daughters and grandchildren. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and took great pride in his country. Gary was very passionate in the beauty of nature and photography. He appreciated the arts, and good jazz music, Sinatra and Sammy Davis. He loved to ride cross country motorcycles over the years. Gary was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, and a good friend. He will be greatly missed.
