Sadie Scrougham, 77, Indianapolis, passed away Friday Dec. 14, 2012.
She was born July 12, 1935, to Henry and Hattie Hanstad. She married Allen Scrougham Oct. 14, 1961, and the two recently celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary. Sadie worked in the print shop and community relations departments of the Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library for 47 years and was also an active member of Bethany Lutheran Church. Sadie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Allen Scrougham, formerly of Brown County; daughters, Kelli Riley of Indianapolis and Kara (Ted) Henderson of Boston, Mass.; grandsons, Andrew and Brett Riley of Indianapolis; and sister, Donna Deem of New Whiteland.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19 at G.H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Ave., Indianapolis. 

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 20 at Bethany Lutheran Church, 4702 South East St., Indianapolis, where friends can call from 10 a.m. until the service. Sadie will be laid to rest in Washington Park East Cemetery.
