Catherine Louise (Coppage) Wilson, 94, Nashville

Catherine Louise (Coppage) Wilson, 94, Nashville, went to be with the Savior she loved, Jesus Christ, on Nov. 1, 2012. Louise was born in Narrows, Ky., to Laura Belle (Truman) and John Harlan Coppage on Oct. 24, 1918. Louise spent her adult life in Hammond, working at LaSalle Steel Co. before retiring to Hendersonville, N.C., St. Cloud, Fla., and eventually Nashville, Ind. She married Van Wilson on Nov. 22, 1944.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Van; sisters, Edna Coppage and Myree (Coy) Bruner; and brothers, Marvin (Calais), Ion (Esther), John Arnold (Mildred) and Eugene Forest Coppage.

Louise was loved dearly and is already missed by children, Alice (Patrick) Bain, Marilyn (Ves) Miller and Philip (Laura) Wilson; grandchildren, Joanna (Luke), Todd (Crystal), Aaron and Philip Miller; Jonathan Bain, Emily (Scott) Walsh; great-grandson, Colton; nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.

She was an active member of Christian Fellowship Church in Hammond, and Evangelical Community Church in Bloomington. Louise was an artisan who produced beautiful handcrafted baskets, quilts and knitwork. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her children, grandchildren and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be given to Oneida Baptist Institute, 11 Mulberry, Oneida, KY 40972 or Life in Messiah International, P.O. Box 5470, Lansing, IL 60438.

Services were conducted Monday, Nov. 5, at the Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard in Bloomington. Viewing and greeting the family were prior to the service.
