Ralph Anderson, 78, of Walesboro, died at 6:44 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis.

Ralph retired from Cummins Engine Company in 1987 where he had worked for 32 years. He was a member of Ohio Street Wesleyan Church, he enjoyed gardening and repairing small engines and was an Army National Guard veteran.

A funeral was conducted Tuesday Oct. 30, at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home, Columbus, with Revs. Jason Baker and Ira Holt officiating.

Family and friends called Monday Oct. 29 and before the service Tuesday.

He was born in Columbus on Feb. 12, 1934, son of James T. and Ruby Long Anderson. He married Linda L. Cohee on Oct. 20, 1960.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Anderson; children, Richard (Meme) Anderson of Nashville, Rebecca Anderson, Debbie (Larry) Stott and Cindy (Sam) Mills, all of Columbus; brother, Lowell (Dortha) Anderson of Clifford, sister Polly Anderson of Plainfield; grandchildren Tiffany (Gage) Jewell, Christopher Anderson, Nick, Hayley and Hannah Maze, Emily, Ashlyn and Elyssa Mills, Brandon, Kaylee and Caroline Stott; great-grandchildren Tanner and Addison Jewell and Hatter Cross.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
