Ruth L. Hole, 93, Columbus

Ruth L. Hole, 93, of Columbus, passed away at 7:23 p.m. Tuesday Oct. 9, 2012 at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation of Columbus.

Ruth was born July 15, 1919, in Brown County to Joseph and Emma Wilson Spiker. She married James H. Hole, Aug. 39, 1941, in Nashville. Ruth was a homemaker, a member of the senior center and an avid supporter of disabled veterans. She enjoyed her flower gardening.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James (Dec. 14, 1989); 2 brothers; 2 sisters; 2 sons; and a daughter.

She is survived by her sons, James “Jim” (Phyllis) of Columbus, Ronald “Ron” (Linda) of Nashville and Harold (Anita) Hole of Columbus; grandchildren, Jennifer (Dean) Grant of Scipio, Brian Hole of Columbus, Tammy Arnold and Jackie Board, both of Nashville, Michael (Christina) Hole of New York and Laura Hole of Columbus; 8 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-granddaughter.

Funeral services will take place at  10 a. m. Monday Oct. 15, at Hathaway-Myers Chapel on Pearl St., Columbus, with Rev. Jerry K. Day, Sr. officiating.

Friends can call from 4-6 p.m., Sunday Oct. 14, and one hour prior to service Monday at the funeral home

Burial will take place at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in Ruth's honor can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
