Carl Vandagrifft,  86, passed away Monday morning, Oct. 8, 2012 at the Franklin United Methodist Community. He was a resident of Martinsville.
Carl was born May 22, 1926 in Morgan County to Arthur Edgil and Laura (Everling) Vandagrifft, who preceded him in death. He married his loving and devoted wife of 67 years, Naomi F. Wright, on May 27, 1945.

Carl is survived by his wife; one daughter, Wanda L. (Leo) Sullivan of Martinsville; two grandchildren, Brent (Amanda) Sullivan of Bedford and Sherri (Paul) Waters of Saint Jo, Texas. He will be remembered by his five great-grandchildren, Kiona, Brindle, Roan, Dunn and Cash Waters.
Carl was preceded in death by one brother, Morris Murphy.
