Larry C. Wayt, Sr., 74, Englewood, Tenn.

Larry C. Wayt, Sr., 74, of Englewood, Tenn., formerly of Brown County, passed away unexpectedly in the early hours of Friday, Sept. 21, 2012 at Park West Medical Center in Knoxville, Tenn.

He was the youngest son of the late Earl and Wilma Lee (Powers) Wayt, born on May 7, 1938, in Moundsville, W. Via. On Dec. 20, 1958 in Newark, Ohio, Joanna (Durdon) Wayt, the woman he so loved and adored, became his wife. Larry retired from Cummins Engine Co. and was a big fan of West Virginia football. He enjoyed sports, wood working and spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Thomas S. Wayt; brothers, Earl Jr. and Charles Wayt; and sister, Donna Wayt.

Larry is survived by his wife, Joanna E. Wayt; children, Mark Wayt (Mary) of Plymouth, N.C., Larry (Mary) Wayt, Jr. of Indianapolis, Kathy (Robert) Holley of Kokomo, and Ron L. Wayt (Matthew Stille) of Ellettsville; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Ron Wayt of Bloomington and Shelley Howell of Newark, Ohio.

By his request, no service will be conducted.
