Kenneth L. Voland, 78, Florida

Kenneth L. Voland passed away Sept. 21, 2012.
He was born in Nashville to Lloyd and Olive Voland on Nov. 1, 1933.
He graduated in 1956 from Indiana University with a bachelor’s degree in business and accounting. He married Sarah L Weddle July 12, 1953. Together, they had three children, Bruce (Clara) of Grapevine, Texas, Doug (Jenny) of Woodstock, Ga., Suzanne (Mike) Tonkinson of Jacksonville, Fla.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Ken was drafted into the United States Army in 1956 and served his country, including internationally in Toul, France.
Ken’s executive finance experience was extensive. His various corporate positions took him to seven states and four countries. For many years he was listed in “Who’s Who in America.” He was active treasurer for Seafarer Chapel in Shell Point, Fla.
His hobbies included flying gliders, fishing, sailing, golfing and building things for his grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to Seafarer Chapel, 25 Connie Drive, Crawfordville, FL 32327.
A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
