LEGAL NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR A SPECIAL EXCEPTION

BROWN COUNTY BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS

FOR DREW TOURIST HOME

Notice is hereby given that the Brown County Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a public hearing on September 26, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. in the second floor meeting room in the County Office Building. The purpose of the meeting is to consider a petition by Richard and Bethany Drew for a Special Exception to allow a tourist home.

The location of the property is 2543 Shipley Hollow Road in Washington Township.

Legal description of premises:

A part of the Southwest quarter of the Northeast quarter of Section 3, Township 8 North, Range 2 East, described as follows: Beginning North 25 degrees 44 minutes West 250 feet from the Southeast corner of said quarter quarter, thence South 87 degrees 51 minutes West 315.4 feet; thence North 25 degrees 44 minutes West 254.6 feet; thence North 46 degrees 08 minutes East 304.2 feet; thence South 25 degrees 44 minutes East 475.5 feet to the beginning. Containing 2.42 acres, more or less.

Also, a part of the Southwest quarter of the Northeast quarter of Fractional Section 3, Township 8 North, Range 2 East, Brown County, Indiana, described as follows, to-wit Beginning North 25 degrees 44 minutes 00 seconds West 350.07 feet from a stone at the Southeast corner of said quarter quarter Section; thence North 25 degrees 44 minutes 00 seconds West 195.04 feet to an iron pin; thence South 58 degrees 33 minutes 38 seconds East 240.17 feet to an iron pin; thence South 00 degrees 50 minutes 17 seconds West 43.07 feet to an iron pin; thence South 86 degrees 28 minutes 44 seconds West 119.82 feet to the point of beginning. Containing .70 acres, more or less.

The file on this matter is available for public inspection 10 days prior to the hearing, during the regular working hours at the Brown County Area Plan Commission office in the County Office Building, Nashville, Indiana.

All interested persons will be given the opportunity to be heard in reference to the matters set out In the petition. Written comments regarding the petition, which are filed with the secretary of the Area Plan Commission before the hearing, will be considered. The hearing may be continued from time to time.
