LEGAL NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR REZONING

BROWN COUNTY AREA PLAN COMMISSION

Notice is hereby given that Raymond E. Stidd has filed with the Area Plan Commission of the County of Brown, Indiana, an application for Rezoning of property, to wit:

Legal description of premises

A part of the Northwest quarter of Section 19, Township 9 North, Range 3 East, Brown County, Indiana, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point 10 feet South of the Northeast corner of Lot NO. 1 in the Original Plat of the Town of Nashville, Indiana, known as Old Log Jail Lot; thence East 16 feet to East side of an easement for a public drive to a point marked by an iron stake, which is the point of beginning for the real estate herein described; thence East 51 feet to a point marked by an iron stake; thence South 91.5 feet to a point marked by an iron pipe; thence West 49 feet to a point; thence North 89.5 feet to the point of beginning. containing 1/8 of an acre, more or less; Along with an easement for any part of the building situated on the above described parcel of real estate which may encroach upon the following described tract of real estate: A part of the Northwest quarter of Section 19, Township 9 North, Range 3 East, Brown County, Indiana, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point 67 feet East of the Northeast corner of In-Lot No. 1 in the Original Plat of the Town of Nashville, Brown County, Indiana; thence South 69.2 feet to a point; thence South 82-3/4 degrees East 82 feet; thence North 8-1/2 degrees East 82 feet; thence West 90 feet to the place of beginning.

Applicant is requesting approval for rezoning the described property from (B1) to Residential (R2). The property is located at 25 Locust Lane in Washington Township.

The file on this matter is available for public inspection at least 10 days prior to the hearing, during the regular working hours at the Brown County Area Plan Commission office in the County Office Building, Nashville, Indiana.

The Commission will hold a public hearing on September 26, 2012 during a meeting commencing at 6:00 p.m. All interested persons will be given the opportunity to be heard in reference to the matters set out in the petition. This notice is being published to notify persons affected by this petition by order of the Area Plan Commission. Written comments regarding the petition, which are filed with the secretary of the Area Plan Commission before the hearing will be considered. The hearing may be continued from time to time. The meeting will be held in the second floor meeting room of the County Office Building, Nashville, Indiana.
