Changes have been made to government meetings scheduled for this week:

• The Nashville Town Council has canceled its special session tonight (Tuesday), which was going to start at 5:30 p.m. The topic was going to be a financing resolution. The meeting has not been rescheduled.
• Brown County Commissioners President John Kennard, who is also the county's environmental health specialist supervisor, told the Brown County Democrat that he will not give his presentation on Wednesday, Sept. 5, about why the county needs a revamped septic ordinance. He said the commissioners will schedule a special meeting for that topic, as this week's regularly scheduled commissioners meeting agenda is already packed. The special meeting has not yet been scheduled.
• The Nashville Town Council will have a special session Thursday, Sept. 6 at 6 p.m. at Town Hall. The agenda includes Opry project, street sweeper discussion, discussion regarding Town Hall and 200 Hawthorne Drive buildings, and any other business that may come before the council. (This meeting was announced in the Aug. 22 Government Calendar, but was accidentally left off the calendar in the Aug. 31 paper.)
