Donald Cloud, 86, Bloomington, passed away at the IU Health-Bloomington Hospice House Thursday, Aug. 30. He was born July 12, 1926, in Cleveland, Ohio, the youngest child of C. Cary and Vera (Nickerson) Cloud. Don was most proud of his father, who was an artist and designed Cracker Jack toys.

Don served in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the Pacific arena. After the war, he worked in Chicago as an inspector at a fire extinguisher manufacturer. Then he moved to Nashville in the late 1950s where he operated the Glass Menagerie, formerly located next to the candle shop. It was there Don designed and sold his stained glass sculptures. He was a member of the Brown County Indiana Artists Association and had served as a juror for many shows.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn (Talbot) Cloud, his daughter, Cyndi C. Cloud of Washington; and several grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Harold Cloud; and his sister, Mary Cloud Smith.
