REQUEST FOR BID

Cordry-Sweetwater Conservancy District (“CSCD”) invites you to submit a sealed bid for the guardrail work described below.  Bids will be received by the CSCD Board of Directors at the CSCD Office, 8377 Cordry Dr. Nineveh, IN 46164 until 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2012.  Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the CSCD Roads Commission meeting on Tuesday September 11, 2012 starting at 6:00 p.m.

The work for which the bids are requested consists of:

Adjust the height of the existing guardrail at the Sweetwater Dam and the Cordry Dam.  A detailed description of the work to be performed is available upon request at the CSCD Office.

Bids shall be submitted at the time and place indicated above and shall be enclosed in an opaque sealed envelope, marked “Guardrail Bid”, along with the name and address of person or company submitting the bid.  If the bid is sent through the mail or other delivery system, the sealed envelope shall be enclosed in a separate envelope with the notation “ Guardrail Bid” on the face of it.

It is the responsibility of the person submitting the bid to visit the site to become familiar with local conditions that may effect cost, performance, or furnishing of the work; consider federal, state, and local laws and regulations and notify Anthoney Haywood, Interim Infrastructure Manager (cell phone number 317-306-8395), of any conflicts, errors or discrepancies of the project.

No extra compensation shall be allowed the successful bidder by any reason of any matter or thing due to his failure to have fully informed himself of the scope of the project.

CSCD reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any and all informalities not involving price, time or changes in the work and to negotiate contract terms with the successful bidder and to disregard all non-conforming, non-responsive, non-responsible, unbalanced or conditional bids.
