Alberta “June” Bryan, 81, Nashville, passed away Aug. 30 in Nashville. She was the daughter of Albert Louis and Isadora (Demaree) Kemp. June was born in Indianapolis on June 4, 1931.

She was a graduate of Nashville High School, a homemaker, a gifted artist and musician. June was also a longtime member of North Salem United Methodist Church and Fellowship Baptist Church where she sang in the choir, as well as churches countywide. A few of her community involvements included the Brown County Dulcimer Society, a lifetime member of Brown County Art Gallery and the Community Closet.

A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, Sept. 4 at 10:30 a.m. at Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home with the Revs. Richard Halladay and Dan Howard officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home Monday, Sept. 3 from 4-8 p.m.

June and Bill were married 63 years. She was the loving mother of Karen Gail Jackson, Jennifer L. (Garry) Lutes of Nashville, Christopher Duane (Carolyn) Bryan of Nashville and Jonathan R. (Diana) Bryan of New Castle, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. Her brother, Raymond (Joan) Kemp, lives in Sebastian, Fla. 

June was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Louis Kemp; and son, Steven D. Bryan.
