Benjamin J. Kelso, 20, Indianapolis, died early Friday morning, Aug. 24, 2012, at his residence. Ben was born in Bloomington March 26, 1992, to Roger Kelso and Gretchen Kelso Cozzolino.

He was preceded in death by two baby sisters, Ashley and Taylor Kelso.

Surviving Ben are his fiancée, Kathryn Preston; his daughter, Georgia Rose; his parents; his sister, Stefani Espinosa; brothers, Matthew and Jeffery Kelso; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and paternal grandmother.

Benjamin had earned an electronic systems technician diploma from Lincoln College of Technology and was pursuing an associate degree in electronic systems service management. He was also a part-time hub supervisor for the United Parcel Service at the 81st and Zionsville Road location in Indianapolis.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, at Hutton Cemetery at the intersection of County Road 300 South (146th Street) and County Road 975 East (Pleasant View Road) in Zionsville. The cemetery is about a mile up the road from Ben’s mother’s home in Cedar Bend, where Ben’s romance with Kathryn “Katie” evolved, and the little family grew to include their daughter, Georgia Rose.
