BEAN BLOSSOM – A passenger in a vehicle crash this morning has been airlifted to an Indianapolis hospital.
At about 9:36 a.m., Lt. Brad Stogsdill of the Brown County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of a personal-injury accident at the intersection of State Road 135 and State Road 45.
During the investigation, Stogsdill found that the driver of a 1999 Suburban, Larry Blanton, had pulled out of Gatesville Road onto State Road 135 heading toward State Road 45 in front of a 1992 Honda Accord driven by Colton Abbott.
According to a news release, Blanton was transported to Johnson Memorial Hospital for a possible broken arm or shoulder.
Abbott was treated and released at the scene.
A passenger in Abbott's vehicle, Kayla Brown, suffered a head injury in the accident and was taken by LifeLine helicopter to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
An ambulance transported Brown to the Law Enforcement Center in Nashville, where the helicopter landed.
Police reported that all involved in the accident were Brown County residents.
