Indiana University's Chris Engstrom will be at Brown County Junior High School Friday, May 18 to educate students and parents about the 21st Century Scholar program.
Indiana students can enroll in the program during their seventh- or eighth-grade years and earn up to four years of undergraduate college tuition at an eligible Indiana college or university. Students who participate must meet academic and financial requirements.
Engstrom will speak to student groups from 12:30-1 p.m. and from 1-1:30 p.m. He will stay after the presentations to answer any questions from parents and to help them navigate the online application process.
The deadline for eighth-graders to apply this year is June 30. Students cannot enroll in 21st Century Scholars beyond their eighth grade year.
