PUBLIC NOTICE

Request for Bids for Road Construction Materials For 2012. Cordry-Sweetwater Conservancy District, Brown County, Indiana ("CSCD") is accepting written bids for the following road construction materials: sand, both structural backfill (B-Borrow) and 23 sand, rip-rap and aggregates No's 2, 8, 12, and 53, Bids will be submitted on a per ton basis for each material, FOB CSCD maintenance yard or as otherwise directed to a location within the CSCD. Aggregate deliveries to locations other than the maintenance yard shall be made using a triaxle dump truck or tandem dump truck as directed. Delivery price shall include spreading. A bid to be considered must provide a bid price for each of the above listed materials- Except for the exception described below, the bid price shall be guaranteed for 2012 and requested deliveries must be delivered within 48 hours of request. Bid unit prices may only adjusted in the following situations: 1. The diesel fuel price component of a bid unit price may be adjusted in accordance with the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) 888 and 878 surveys.

A bid must be sealed and addressed to: Cordry Sweetwater Conservancy District, 8377 Cordry Dr., Nineveh, IN 46164. The word "bid" must be written in the lower left corner of the sealed bid envelope. The bids must be received no later than 4:00 p.m., Thursday, May 3, 2012. Bids will be opened and read aloud during the monthly Road Commission meeting, which starts at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 8, 2012. CSCD reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
