The Brown County High School Drama department will present “Mister Roberts” as its fall play, beginning Thursday, Nov. 3, at 7 p.m.

"Mister Roberts" is a comedic drama set on the U.S.S. Reluctant, a cargo ship in the Pacifi c during World War II. It is based on a 1946 novel of the same name, which centered around author Thomas Heggen’s real-life WWII experiences. The book was converted into a play, which won the 1948 Tony Award for best play. It has also been adapted for fi lm and television productions.

When: Thursday-Saturday, Nov. 3-5 at 7 p.m.; Sunday, Nov. 6 at 2 p.m.; Thursday and Friday, Nov. 10-11 at 7 p.m.; Saturday, Nov. 12 at 2 p.m.

Tickets: $5/students, $6/adults

Approximate run time: 2 hours, plus a 15-minute intermission
