EXCEPTION BROWN COUNTY

 BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS

FOR SULLIVAN TOURIST HOME

Notice is hereby given that the Brown County Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a public hearing on October 26, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. in the second floor meeting room in the County Office Building. The purpose of the meeting is to consider a petition by William and Linda Sullivan for a Special Exception to allow a tourist home.

The location of the property is 2709 Grandma Barnes Road in Jackson Township.

Legal description of premises: A part of the Southeast quarter of the Northeast quarter of Section 11, Township 9 North, Range 2 East and more particularly described as follows:  Beginning at the Northwest corner of said quarter quarter and running thence East 1327.1 feet to a stone; thence South 991.6 feet to an iron pin; thence West 660.0 feet to an iron pin; thence South 330.0 feet to an iron pin; thence West 663.7 feet to an iron pin; thence North 1320.2 feet to the place of beginning, containing 35.20 acres. ALSO, a tract of land located in the Northeast quarter of Section 11, Township 9 North, Range 2 East and further described as follows:  Beginning at the Northeast corner of the Southwest quarter of the Northeast quarter of said Section 11, and running thence South 1320 feet to the Southeast corner of said quarter quarter; thence South 89 degrees 13 minutes West 174.3 feet to an iron pin; thence North 41 degrees 40 minutes East 132 feet to an iron pin; thence North 41 degrees 30 minutes West 148.5 feet to an iron pin; thence North 331.7 feet to an iron pin; thence West 349.6 feet to an iron pin; thence North 276 feet to a point; thence West 419.1 feet to a point in the center of a County Road known as "GRANDMA. BARNES ROAD"; thence Northeasterly along the center of said County Road 665.8 feet to a point; thence East 726 feet to the place of beginning, containing 14.01 acres, more or less. EXCEPT THEREFROM THE FOLLOWING DESCRIBED TRACT:

A part of the South half of .the Northeast quarter of Section 11, Township 9 North, Range 2 East, described as follows: Beginning South 34 degrees 30 minutes West 456,7 feet from the Northeast corner of the Southwest quarter of said Northeast quarter; thence South 49 degrees 13 minutes East 500 feet; thence South 25 degrees 44 minutes West 165.9 feet; thence North 49 degrees 13 minutes West 250. feet; thence West 339 feet; thence North 3 50 feet; thence East 339 feet to the beginning, containing in said EXCEPTION 5 acres, more or less.

The file on this matter is available for public inspection 10 days prior to the hearing, during the regular working hours at the Brown County Area Plan Commission office in the County Office Building, Nashville, Indiana.

All interested persons will be given the opportunity to be heard in reference to the matters set out in the petition. Written comments regarding the petition, which are filed with the secretary of the Area Plan Commission before the hearing, will be considered. The hearing may be continued from time to time.
