Sandra ‘Sandy’ Jo (DeVine) Davis, age 76, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, May 10, 2021 at Columbus Regional Hospital. She was a resident of Nashville and former resident of Indianapolis.

Sandy was born April 6, 1945, in Indianapolis to her parents, the late Edward and Juanita Grace (Mitchel) DeVine. She was a 1963 graduate of Arsenal Technical High School in Indianapolis.

Sandy worked as a Lan Operator for General Accident Insurance in 2002 after 25 years of service. She later worked in Emblem Sales at Ft. Benjamin Harrison American Legion Post 510 until retiring in 2014 and 2016.

Sandy was a breast cancer survivor and full of life. She was a lifelong member of the Irvington Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Indianapolis. In her free time, Sandy enjoyed reading her bible, watching birds, feeding her pet squirrel, "Tiny", swimming and traveling to Siesta Key, Florida. She also enjoyed playing Nintendo video games and watching both karate movies and old films alike. Most of all, Sandy enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Baking for others, especially at Christmas time, was a way for her to show her love to her friends and family. Sandy was a very loving and nurturing mother and grandma to not only her family, but to her community. Many people called her "Grandma Sandy" because she loved and took care of everyone she met. Animals had a special place in her heart and Sandy would volunteer her time at the Brown County Humane Society.

She will be missed by her daughters: Robin (Darren) Pratt of New Palestine, Theresa Cobian of Nashville, grandchildren: Christine Denise (Eric) Pratt Scripture of Indianapolis, Shannon Jessie (Bob) Pratt Taylor of Greenfield, Brent Thomas Cobian of Michigan City and Brad William (Chyane) Cobian of Camby; great grandchildren; Isla Mae Scripture and Logan Mae Ann Cobian as well as several nieces and nephews.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers; Charles DeVine and Stan "David" DeVine.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Sunday, May 23 at the Irvington Seventh-Day Adventist Church: 2101 South Franklin Road in Indianapolis. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.
