Letter: ‘Distasteful’ and ‘abusive’ GOP posts need to stop

0

To the editor:

On March 5, World Prayer Day, a Facebook post by the Brown County Republicans asked us to join in praying for our friends, neighbors, loved ones, and fellow Hoosiers.

Approximately six minutes later, they posted an altered children’s book cover with the words “Bite My Ass You Liberal Morons.”

More and more I’m struggling to find the humor in their actions, which seem callous and inappropriate. I believe it is time for these distasteful posts and abusive attacks to stop.

Let us practice what we preach, love our neighbors regardless of their political views, and work together to rebuild our party around the traditional Republican aspirations that make our community and our nation a better place to live.
