INVITATION FOR NOMINATIONS FOR THE OFFICE OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CORDRY-SWEETWATER
CONSERVANCY DISTRICT
Pursuant to I.C.14-33-5-3, the Cordry-Sweetwater Conservancy District gives notice that it will receive nominations to fill vacancies on the Board of Directors of the Cordry-Sweetwater Conservancy District. The vacancies to be filled by election of the freeholders of the Cordry Sweetwater Conservancy District are: Area 5, Jay Nogan; and Area 6, Pat Sherman. A nominee to be elected to represent an area must own land within the area and must be qualified by knowledge and experience in matters pertaining to the development of the District.
Nominations must be in writing and signed by at least five (5) freeholders owning land within the area from which the nominee seeks election. Nominations must be received either by delivery or mail at the District Office, 8377 Cordry Drive, Nineveh, Indiana 46164, prior to December 1, 2020.
Nominees elected to represent Areas 5 and 6 shall serve a four (4) year term expiring on the date of the District’s annual meeting in January of 2025.
If more than one freeholder is nominated to represent an Area, an election will occur at the District’s annual meeting. If one freeholder is nominated to represent an Area, that freeholder will be deemed to have been elected. If no freeholder is nominated to represent an Area, the vacancy will be filled by the Board of Directors of the Cordry-Sweetwater Conservancy District.
The date, time and location of the annual meeting will be given by public notice, advertised no more than thirty-one (31) days nor less than fourteen (14) days prior to the date of the 2021 annual meeting.

NOTICE OF DETERMINATION TO CONSTRUCT AND FINANCE
ADDITIONS AND
IMPROVEMENTS TO THE CORDRY-SWEETWATER
CONSERVANCY DISTRICT’S WATER WORKS AND THE ADOPTION AND PURPORT OF THE ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING THE SAME
Property owners, ratepayers and other interested parties in or served or to be served by the water works of the Cordry-Sweetwater Conservancy District (the “Political Subdivision”) are hereby notified that on October 20, 2020, the Political Subdivision’s legislative body adopted an ordinance (the “Ordinance”), determining to undertake and complete water work improvements that will involve purchase and installation of a utility wide metering which will allow the Political Subdivision to audit and analyze the water served and consumed, including applicable and necessary repairs to the system identified during construction of the project (the “Project”) and authorizing the issuance of the Political Subdivision’s revenue bonds payable solely from the net revenue of the water works (“Bonds”) to pay the costs of the Project.
The total estimated cost of the Project is presently estimated to not exceed $255,000.00. The Ordinance directed that after application of other available funding, the Project be financed by the issuance of Bonds in an amount not to exceed $255,000.00. The Bonds will be sold at a private sale to the Indiana Finance Authority as permitted by IC 5-1.2-10, at an interest rate of 2% per annum payable semi-annually commencing January 1, 2021, and will mature annually on each January 1st commencing January 1, 2021 over a period not exceeding 10 years from its original issuance. Copies of the preliminary plans and cost estimates and the Ordinance are on file in the office of the Conservancy District and are available for inspection by any interested parties during regular business hours. Objections to said Project and the Bonds may be filed in the time and manner provided by the IC 36-9-23.
