NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED WATER RATES FOR CUSTOMERS SERVED BY THE CORDRY-SWEETWATER CONSERVANCY DISTRICT WATER UTILITY
Notice is hereby given to all customers of the Cordry-Sweetwater Conservancy District Water Utility and any other interested parties, and to all owners of property located within the Cordry-Sweetwater Conservancy District, that on September 24, 2020, the Board of Directors of the Cordry-Sweetwater Conservancy District adopted on first reading Resolution No. 2020-06, “Resolution Increasing Rates and Charges to be Collected by the Cordry-Sweetwater Conservancy District from Customers of the Cordry-Sweetwater Water Utility”. Resolution No. 2020-06 increased the rates and charges to customers of the Cordry-Sweetwater Water Utility as follows:
The current rates and charges are:
Monthly Meter Consumption
Minimum Rate: $23.56;
First, 3,000 Gallons, $11.79
Next, 12,000 Gallons, $10.68
Next, 15,000 Gallons, $ 9.69
Next, 20,000 Gallons, $ 8.66
Over, 50,000 Gallons, $ 7.33

Fire Protection Service
Fire Hydrant Fee Per Hydrant Per Year, $833.98

If adopted, Resolution No. 2020-06 will increase rates and charges as follows:
Monthly Meter Consumption
Minimum Charge, $29.33
First, 3,000 Gallons, $14.68
Next, 12,000 Gallons, $13.29
Next, 15,000 Gallons, $12.06
Next, 20,000, Gallons $10.79
Over, 50,000 Gallons, $ 9.13

Fire Protection Service
Fire Hydrant Fee $1,038.20

Other Charges:
Monthly Surcharge: $ 5.89
Per customer per month surcharge to recover lost revenues due to increase in purchased water from March 2020 through October 2020
Charged November 2020 through April 2021

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held on Resolution No. 2020-06 by the Board of Directors of the Cordry-Sweetwater Conservancy District on the 20th day of October, 2020 at 7:00 pm. Said hearing will be held at the CSLOA Clubhouse located at 8751 Nineveh Road, Nineveh, Indiana. All customers of the Cordry-Sweetwater Conservancy District Water Utility, all freeholders of the Cordry-Sweetwater Conservancy District, and all other interested persons may be heard at said hearing concerning the proposed rates and charges. After the hearing, the Board of Directors of the Cordry-Sweetwater Conservancy District shall adopt the proposed Resolution amending said rates and charges, either as originally introduced or as said Resolution may be modified or amended.

Representatives of the Estate of Ruby A. Koch, deceased, who died on May 1, 2020.
