ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Jackson Township Fire Department #5 Inc. Helmsburg Indiana is requesting sealed bid proposals for the purchase of Eighteen (18) complete 4500 psi 45-minute self-contained breathing apparatus, and Eight (8) additional high temperature Face Pieces.
The term “complete SCBA” is defined as Two (2) 4500psi 45-minute cylinders, with a backpack / harness, and One (1) high temperature face piece, which includes One (1) voice Amplification Device each.
The bidding period shall begin September 1st at 9:00 am and conclude September 22nd, 2020 at 5:00 pm.
All bids shall be in a sealed envelope, marked “JTFD#5 SCBA BID”, and shall be mailed to the attention of “Chief Elmore” at the following address:
All bid packages will be opened and reviewed for accuracy and compliance on September 23, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. Bids will be opened at the Jackson Township Fire Department Station #5, located at:

-The Jackson Township Fire Department reserves the right to accept or reject any or all
proposals; to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received and to award the
contract to the best bidder whose proposal is deemed most favorable to the Jackson Fire

CORDRY-SWEETWATER
CONSERVANCY DISTRICT
NOTICE OF 2021 ASSESSMENTS
NOTICE IS GIVEN to all owners of property located within the boundaries of the Cordry-Sweetwater Conservancy District, and all other interested persons, that in order to pay for the costs of operation and maintenance of the District’s works of improvement for the year 2021, the Board of Directors of the Cordry-Sweetwater Conservancy District has determined that an assessment should be imposed upon each freehold located within the Cordry-Sweetwater Conservancy District.
Each freehold within the Cordry-Sweetwater Conservancy District shall be assessed, for the year 2021, the amount of $972.00 payable in two (2) equal installments of $486.00. The assessment will be added to the property tax statements and paid and collected in the same manner as property taxes imposed upon the taxable real estate located within the Cordry-Sweetwater Conservancy District. The amount of $486.00 will be added to the property tax statement payable in May 2021 and the amount of $486.00 will be added to the property tax statement payable in November 2021.
The Board of Directors of the Cordry-Sweetwater Conservancy District will hold a public hearing on the assessments with the first reading of the 2021 Budget on September 15, 2020, and will hold a second public hearing on the assessments with the second reading and adoption of the 2021 Budget on October 20, 2020. Both hearings will be held at the CSLOA Clubhouse located at 8751 Nineveh Road, Nineveh, Indiana 46164. The hearings will commence at 7:00 pm.
At the public hearings, freeholders and other interested parties may offer comments concerning the assessments. The Cordry-Sweetwater Conservancy District Board of Directors may approve the assessments as originally advertised or may reduce the assessments. Final action on the assessments will be taken as a part of the adoption of the Cordry-Sweetwater Conservancy District’s annual budget which will occur at a meeting of the Cordry-Sweetwater Conservancy District’s Board of Directors on October 20, 2021 at 7:00pm at the CSLOA Clubhouse located at 8751 Nineveh Road, Nineveh, Indiana 46164.
