NOTICE TO TAXPAYERS OF HEARING ON PROPOSED
CUMULATIVE
IMPROVEMENT FUND
Notice is hereby given to the taxpayers of The Lake Lemon Conservancy District (LLCD), Brown and Monroe, Counties, Indiana, that the LLCD Board of Directors will consider at 600 E. Miller Dr., Bloomington Indiana, 47401, at six o’clock pm on February 27th, 2020, the establishment of a Cumulative Improvement Fund, under the provisions of Indiana Code 14-33-21 for the purposes as follows: Works of Improvement including Maintenance of Dam, Spillway and Sluice gate; Control of Nuisant Vegetation, Shoreline Erosion Control; Recreational Water Quality Maintenance; Capital Improvements to Riddle Point Park and Public Boat Launch.
The tax will be levied on all taxable real and personal property within the taxing district and will not exceed $0.033 per $100 of assessed valuation. The proposed fund will be levied beginning with taxes due and payable in the year 2021. Taxpayers appearing at such hearing shall have the right to be heard thereon. The proposal for establishment of the Cumulative Improvement Fund is subject to approval by the Department of Local Government Finance.
Within 30 days after the date of the adoption of the cumulative fund by the LLCD Board of Directors, the Lake Lemon Conservancy District will publish a Notice of Adoption.
Upon publication of the Notice of Adoption, ten or more taxpayers in the taxing district may file a petition with the County Auditor not later than noon 30 days after the publication of the Notice of Adoption setting forth their objections to the proposed fund.

NOTICE TO TAXPAYERS OF ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION
Notice is hereby given to the taxpayers of the school corporation known as Brown County Schools (the “School Corporation”) that the Board of School Trustees (the “Board”) of the School Corporation will meet at Brown County High School, 235 School House Lane, Nashville, Indiana, at the hour of 6:30 p.m. (Local Time) on February 20, 2020, to consider the following additional appropriation of bonds (the “Bonds”) which the Board has determined to issue. The Board considers such additional appropriation of proceeds necessary to meet the need existing at this time:
An appropriation in the total amount of (i) $1,865,000 from the proceeds of Bonds, and all investment earnings thereon, on account of the renovation of and improvements to Helmsburg Elementary School (the “Helmsburg Elementary Project”); and (ii) $1,930,000 from the proceeds of the Bonds, and all investment earnings thereon, on account of the renovation of and improvements to Sprunica Elementary School (the “Sprunica Elementary Project”, which with the Helmsburg Elementary Project shall collectively be referred to as the “Projects”) in the School Corporation, including the incidental expenses necessary to be incurred in connection with the Projects and the issuance of Bonds on account thereof. The funds to meet such additional appropriation are to be provided by the issuance and sale of Bonds by the School Corporation.
The foregoing appropriation is in addition to all appropriations provided for in the existing budget and tax levy, and a need for such appropriation exists by reason of the inadequacy of the present buildings to provide necessary school facilities in the School Corporation.
TO
Taxpayers of the School Corporation appearing at said meeting shall have the right to be heard in respect to the additional appropriation.
Pursuant to Indiana Code 20-26-7-37, the Board of the School Corporation will also discuss and hear objections and support regarding the proposed individual Projects. You are invited to attend and participate in the public hearing.
