Parks and rec offering basketball, cheerleading
Brown County Parks and Recreation is offering basketball and cheerleading to students from preschool through the fourth grade this fall.
Registration is open now and will close Friday, Sept. 27. The cost is $50 for preschoolers through second-graders or $55 for third and fourth grade students. Register by Friday, Sept. 20 to save $10. Additional children in the same family also get a $10 discount each.
Practices will begin after Brown County Schools’ fall break, Oct. 7 to 11. Games will be on Sunday afternoons.

Disc golf events scheduled at local venue
The Brown County Country Club will welcome the 39th annual Indiana State Disc Golf Championship from Friday, Sept. 20 through Sunday, Sept. 22.
This event will crown the best professional and amateur players in the state.
Spectators are welcome.
