Helmsburg Regional Sewage District notice of rate increase

LEGAL ADVERTISEMENT

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED SEWER RATES FOR CUSTOMERS SERVED BY THE HELMSBURG REGIONAL SEWAGE DISTRICT

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to all customers of the Helmsburg Regional Sewage District sewer system and any other interested parties, and to all owners of property located within the Helmsburg Regional Sewage District, that on March 25, 2019, the Board of Directors of the Helmsburg Regional Sewage District adopted, on first reading, Ordinance 2019-01, “Ordinance Amending Ordinance 96-2 Increasing Rates And Charges To Be Collected By The Helmsburg Regional Sewage District From Customers Of The Helmsburg Regional Sewage District Sewer System For Monthly Sewer Charges”.  Ordinance 2019-01 increased the rates and charges to customers of the Helmsburg Regional Sewage District as follows:

The current rates and charges are:

Zero to 2000 Gallons             $70.00

Plus $20.00 per 1,000 Gallons or any part of 1,000 in excess of 2,000 Gallons

If adopted, Ordinance 2019-01 will increase rates and charges as follows:

Zero to 2000 Gallons             $92.50

Plus $20.00 per 1,000 Gallons or any part of 1,000 in excess of 2,000 Gallons

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held on Ordinance 2019-01 by the Board of Directors of the Helmsburg Regional Sewage District on the 30th day of April, 2019 at 5:30pm.  Said hearing will be held at the Brown County Public Library, 205 Locust Lane, Nashville, Indiana.  All customers of the Helmsburg Regional Sewage District, all property owners located within the Helmsburg Regional Sewage District, and all other interested persons may be heard at said hearing concerning the proposed rates and charges.  After the hearing, the Board of Directors of the Helmsburg Regional Sewage District shall adopt the Ordinance amending said rates and charges, either as originally introduced or as said Ordinance may be modified or amended.

The Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority (“IHCDA”) released recently three Request for Proposals (RFPs) for the Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG). These RFPs, grant applications and other documentation can be found on this webpage: https://www.indianabos.org/esg.

Applicant’s proposal must be submitted electronically via e-mail and received by the IHCDA no later than April 30, 2019 at 5:00 pm Eastern Time. Applications received after this date and time will not be accepted. Faxed or mailed applications will not be considered.
