A man intentionally harmed himself by jumping off the second-floor staircase inside the Brown County Courthouse this afternoon, according to Lt. Mike Moore with the Brown County Sheriff’s Department.

Police and emergency responders were called to the courthouse in downtown Nashville shortly after 1 p.m. on a report of a person with a head injury.

The man’s name has not been released.

A landing zone for a Lifeline helicopter was being established at the Brown County Law Enforcement Center.
