Contractors working at the Maple Leaf Performing Arts Center site hit a town water line Friday, causing a water outage in the Salt Creek Plaza/Hawthorne Drive area.

Nashville town administration reported the situation at about 2:30 p.m. The town is contacting affected customers. The town estimated that water service would be restored by 10 p.m. Utility workers were on site working on it, a press release said.

Anyone who was without water on Friday due to the leak was instructed to abide by a boil order until 4 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24.
