With costumes, critters and flags of many colors, Brown County showed “Unity in Diversity” Saturday at the 55th annual Spring Blossom Parade, presented by the Brown County Lions Club. The event happened to fall on Cinco de Mayo this year.

The grand marshal was Judith Stewart, retiring judge of Brown Circuit Court.

Judges presented ribbons to the following entries:

ADULT FLOAT

First: Brown County Veterans and Friends of the Library

Second: Brown County Literacy Coalition

Third: Brown County Historical Society

ANIMALS

First: Ray Farms, Sierra Yordy and Unicorns in Diversity

Second: Brown County Humane Society

CLASSIC AUTO

First: Jerry and Mary Sue Wilkerson’s 1968 Chevy Camaro convertible and Mike McDaniel’s 1957 Cushman

Second: Murat Shrine Veterans Car Club

Third: Mural Corvette Club

PERFORMANCE

First: Brown County High School Marching Eagles

Second: Melchior Marionette Theatre and the Twilight Twirlers

YOUTH FLOAT

First: Cub Scout Pack 190 and Brown County Girl Scouts

Second: Brown County 4-H Gang

Third: Brown County Livestock Club

YOUTH WALKING
