LAS VEGAS — Campaign finance reports show Democrat Susie Lee and Republican Danny Tarkanian are leading the pack in fundraising in the race for the U.S. House district that includes parts of suburban Las Vegas.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports Lee and Tarkanian have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars more than the other candidates vying for the 3rd Congressional District seat that will be vacated by Democratic Rep. Jacky Rosen.
The reports filed with the Federal Election Commission show Tarkanian raised more than $426,000 from January to March, bringing his total cash on hand to nearly $730,000.
Tarkanian’s fellow Republican candidates include state Sen. Scott Hammond and former KLAS-TV reporter Michelle Mortensen.
Lee raised about $562,000 and is sitting on more than $1 million. She is challenging businessman Jack Love.
