Norman woman arrested on suspicion of impaired driving

A woman from Norman, Indiana, was taken to jail for impaired driving April 2.

Nashville Police Officer Evan Painter stopped a vehicle driven by Torri R. Covey, 26, shortly before 1 a.m. at the Law Enforcement Center. Painter reported smelling alcohol on Covey and that her eyes were red/watery.

A breath test showed her blood-alcohol content to be 0.11, the probable cause affidavit states.

She was charged on April 2 with operating a vehicle with an ACE of 0.08 or more, a Class C misdemeanor; operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a Class C misdemeanor; and possession of paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor.
