Businesses and residents in the Hawthorne Drive/Salt Creek Plaza area will be without water until 2:30 p.m. today because of a water leak in the Brown County IGA area, according to Nashville Utilities.
Some of the buildings affected are:
- Brown County Inn,
- sheriff’s department,
- IGA,
- McDonald’s,
- Willow Manor,
- Hawthorne Hills,
- Quick Clean Laundry,
- YMCA,
- Quality Inn,
- Brown County Health and Living,
- Salt Creek Family Practice,
- Nashville Family Medicine,
- Dr. Junken,
- Dr. Pickel,
- Dr. Wagers,
- Family Dollar and
- Bear Hardware.
McDonald’s owner Mike Stieglitz said his restaurant has just enough water pressure to keep the restrooms open, which means the restaurant is staying open; however, it will not be serving sodas.
Once the water is turned back on, all affected locations except McDonald’s and Brown County Health and Living will be on a boil water order until 4 p.m. Thursday, March 22, Nashville Utilities reported.
