VAN BUREN TWP. — A woman who was involved in a domestic dispute has been charged in Brown Circuit Court, two weeks after the man who was involved also was charged.

Erin Rose, 35, called police on Feb. 17 to say she had been battered by Kyle D. Irwin, 26, in the 2800 block of South Whitehorse Road. A witness told police he was in the kitchen when he heard the door open and heard Rose yelling at Irwin, according to an affidavit by Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Colton Magner.

The witness stated that Rose had thrown a pack-and-play crib onto the floor and that she was saying something about money before she and Irwin went outside to the driveway.

Irwin told police that the physical portion of the fight began when he was walking away from Rose and she grabbed him on the back of the neck. He shoved her away and ran inside, the report said.

Rose and the man have a child in common who was inside the home with other adults during the incident.

EMS took Rose to the hospital for treatment of her injuries upon her request. She was charged March 6 with domestic battery, a Class A misdemeanor. A Class D felony charge of domestic battery resulting in moderate bodily injury was filed against Irwin on Feb. 20.
