Andra “Andy” Smith of Nashville went home to be with her loved ones Wednesday, March 14, 2018.

Visitation for Andra will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 16 in Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home, 1682 State Road 135 North, Nashville.
The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 17 in the funeral home.
Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Andy was born in Indianapolis and was the adopted daughter of William Earl and Mary (Urban) Bradley who gave her a wonderful and blessed life.

Andy enjoyed serving her Lord and especially her time as pastor of Duncan Church on Yellowwood Road. She worked most of her life on the I.U. campus at various fraternities — ZBT, Delta Chi, Sigma Chi and Delta Upsilon. She began as a cook and later become a house director “Mom.” She felt blessed to be in the midst of and house mother to so many young men. Having no children, she often referred to them as her “boys.” She served as president of I.U. House of Directors for many years and was nominated by her “boys,” awarding her House Director of the Year in 2002.

Andy is survived by her brother, Chris (Kay) Bradley; two nephews, Randy (Susie) Bartlett and Adam Earl (Ginger Nikirk) Bradley; two nieces, Vicki Ann (Jerry) Smith and Christy Renee Bradley. She is also survived by many “tremendous” great-nieces and nephews.

Andy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 32 years, Paul “Smiling Smitty” Smith; and later by her loving companion, Charlie “C.W.” Folkening; and her sister, Mary Ann Bartlett.

Memorial contributions may be given in Andra’s name to Mother’s Cupboard or the Brown County Humane Society.
