Basketball player nominated for honor

Brown County High School senior guard Ezra Scully received a nomination for Player of the Week from the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association for the week of Feb. 12 to 17.

In Brown County’s game against Northview on Feb. 9, Scully poured in 36 of the team’s 64 points. Brown County lost that game 76-64, but won their next game the following night against Mitchell. That was the Eagles’ first win this calendar year.

Scully did not win Player of the Week for District 3 but was on a long list of honorees who were nominated by IBCA members.
