An Indianapolis woman is being charged with drunken driving after being arrested on a Brown County State Park road in October.

Police stopped Delilah Larson, who was 22 at the time, in the park near the fire tower just after 8 p.m. Oct. 17. A probable cause affidavit says that she almost struck Sgt. Bill Southerland’s vehicle head-on. No crash actually occurred, the report said.

Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Joshua Stargell wrote that Larson smelled of alcohol, her speech was slurred, her eyes were red/watery and she had an “abusive attitude.” A chemical test conducted about two-and-a-half hours later showed her blood-alcohol content to be 0.131, over the legal limit of 0.08, the report said.

She was charged in Brown Circuit Court with three alcohol-related misdemeanors on Feb. 1.
