Missing license plate results in meth charge

A Brown County man has been charged with a felony for possession of methamphetamine after he was stopped for driving a car without license plates.

Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Andrew Eggebrecht stopped Nolan E. Eastwood, 37, for the infraction Jan. 7. It was not noted on the report where the stop occurred.

Eggebrecht reported finding less than 5 grams of methamphetamine in Eastwood’s possession, as well as a “tooter” with heavy drug residue inside.

Eastwood was charged Feb. 5 with possession of methamphetamine, a Level 6 felony; and possession of paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor.
