A man who was being arrested for violating his probation on previous drug charges has been charged with another felony after police found heroin on him, court document say.

Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Andrew Eggebrecht reported finding less than five grams of a narcotic drug on Jason D. Richardson, 28, of Siebert Trail, while arresting him on an outstanding warrant Dec. 18.

The substance field-tested positive for heroin, Eggebrecht reported.

Richardson was wanted for violating his probation on previous charges of unlawful possession of a syringe and possession of paraphernalia, according to online court documents.

He was charged Feb. 1 with possession of a narcotic drug, a Level 6 felony.
