Shortly before 8 a.m., Brown County Democrat staff observed the following:
State Road 46 West to Nashville: Clear, wet
State Road 46 East to 46/135 South split: Clear, wet
State Road 135 North to 45: Clear, wet
State Road 135 South to Camp Roberts: No report yet
State Road 45: Clear, wet
Brown County schools are not in session today because at 4:30 a.m. when staff were out assessing roads, snow was still coming down in the southern part of the county and ice was underneath, said Superintendent Laura Hammack.
At around 5 a.m., Brown County’s travel status was changed to YELLOW – ADVISORY. This is the lowest level of local travel advisory, meaning that routine travel or activities may be restricted in areas because of a hazardous situation, and individuals should use caution or avoid those areas.
