TUCSON, Ariz. — Police in Tucson have identified a man who was fatally shot in the parking lot of a midtown apartment complex.

They say 33-year-old Roger Rene Quiroz Jr. was armed with a knife and got into an argument with the shooter Tuesday night.

He was declared dead at the scene.

Police say the shooter later called police about the incident and was interviewed by officers before being released.

The name of the shooter wasn’t disclosed.

Police say the fatal shooting remains under investigation.
