GNAW BONE — A Columbus woman was taken to the hospital Jan. 18 after a two-vehicle crash on State Road 46 East.

It happened just after 5 p.m. at 46 and Brown Hill Road.

Teresa Wright, 55, of Columbus told police that a vehicle stopped quickly in front of her to make a left turn, causing her to slow quickly.

A Jeep, driven by 21-year-old Mallory Baker of Jackson Branch Ridge Road, struck the back of Wright’s minivan, the report said.

Police said that speed was a factor in Baker colliding with Wright.

Wright complained of back and neck pain and was taken to Columbus Regional Hospital by ambulance. The van was towed; the Jeep was not.
