Patricia Jo “Patty” Jones, 75, of Nashville and longtime resident of Seymour, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, Jan. 14, 2018, at her home.
A celebration of life will be conducted at Voss & Sons Funeral Service, 316 N. Chestnut in Seymour from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, with funeral to follow at 2 p.m.
Patty was born in Seymour on Nov. 1, 1942, to the late Harvey and Bernice Taylor. She married Kenneth “Eddie” Jones in Seymour on July 22, 1961; he preceded her in death four years ago at age 75.
Patty was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to bake and have holiday gatherings for her family. She was an avid animal owner and saw her three adopted dogs as her family companions. From an early age, Patty always had an animal in her arms and showed her love for animals by volunteering at local humane society fundraising events. Patty also cherished the opportunity to attend early Mass Sunday mornings at St. Agnes Catholic Church. Her positive outlook was an inspiration to everyone who knew her.
Patty is survived by her sister, Nancy (Joe) Clarke; daughters, Sue Ann (Evan) Werling and Cindy (John) Richards; son, Gregory (Tammy) Jones; grandchildren, Joseph (Brandi) Murray, Andrew Murray, Shawn (Brittany) Richards, Seth (Emily) Richards, Jonathan Richards, Heather Jones and Kyle Jones; several great-grandchildren; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Jenny Jones, Mike Jones, Pat Jones and Johnny Jones.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be given to Brown County Humane Society in care of Voss & Sons Funeral Service.
