Letter: Thanks, League of Women Voters, for leadership

To the editor:

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Brown County League of Women Voters for their continuing efforts to promote transparency in our government at the local, state and national levels.

Freedom isn’t free, and these wonderful patriots of the BCLWV consistently lead the way in preserving our right to seek information and public redress from all government officials. In my years of public advocacy, I have never encountered another group of people who have been more sincerely focused on a positive agenda.

Take some time out of your day to thank one of these women (or men) for having the only local organization to possess, shall we say, the “guts” to seek out the truth, no matter where it leads. Look to them more for guidance, as I have.

Matriarchy, yes! Oligarchy, no!
