Alberta Lopez Alba, age 92, of Columbus, Indiana, passed away Friday, Jan. 5, 2018 at Brown County Health & Living Community in Nashville.
She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Nashville and a Brown County resident for 40 years.
She was preceded in death by husband, Abdias Lawrence Alba; daughter, Kathleen Mickolafsky; parents, Felix and Sally Lopez; siblings: Sam, Phil, Val and Ralph Lopez, Esther Dunsmore; sons-in-law, Merrill R. Johnson and James Ivan Bush.
She is survived by daughters, Rita Alba Johnson of Papillion, NE, and Barbara Alba Bush of Nashville, IN; son-in-law, John Mickolafsky of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Michael Johnson, Steven Johnson and Deborah Johnson, all of Omaha, Abdias Alba of Nashville, IN, Katie Mickolafsky of South Portsmouth, KY, Phillip Mickolafsky and Jennifer Bush Hallgarth, both of Indianapolis; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Helen Gonzales, Bea Nickels, Eleanor Harms, and Jim Lopez; sisters-in-law, Mercedes Alba and Agatha Ramirez; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation, rosary and a Mass of Christian burial were Jan. 13 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Omaha, Nebraska, with the Rev. Carl Zoucha serving as celebrant. Interment was in St. John Cemetery in Bellevue, Nebraska.
