A Carmel woman was taken to the hospital after a two-vehicle accident on State Road 46 East Jan. 1.

Nashville Police Officer William Pruitt reported that John L. Shipley, 76, of Nashville, was southbound on Snyder Road and turning west on State Road 46 East. Victoria Glascock, 26, was eastbound on 46 East when the vehicles collided, according to Pruitt’s report.

Glascock told Pruitt that she thought she was OK, but that she may have bitten her lip and caused her mouth to bleed. She was taken to Columbus Regional Hospital for treatment as a precaution.

Shipley said he was OK and did not wish to be taken to the hospital, according to the report.

It is unknown if the drivers were wearing their seat belts. Both vehicles were towed.
